What Causes Painful Bumps On The Roof Of Mouth And Gum?

I have a little lump on my upper gum next to my last molar and it's kinda went down but then today I had a sensitive feeling in that spot again and the spot has flared back up, I'm what it is but I also had lumps in the roof of my mouth which had kinda gone away well the pain there anyways, I still feel the bumps when my tounge goes up against the roof of my mouth, I'm worried it's cancer :( I have a tooth that needs a root canal but I do not think that would cause bumps on my roof of my mouth or the hard small lump on my upper gum.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain if the lump is behind the last molar and you have not yet erupted wisdom tooth then it is possible that the bump is due to the wisdom tooth that has perforated the jaw bone and has come just beneath the gums and the guns when getting presses against the hard tooth below there is inflammation and pain..

In this case you need to get evaluated by a dentist and get an x ray done and treatment can be planned according to the diagnosis..

The bumps on the roof of the mouth can be due to canker sores and as the initial active disease subsided the pain has been resolved while now you could still feel the bumps healing is still going on and has not completely healed..

You need not to worry as it is not the sign of cancer and just relax..

Get the root canal treatment of the infected tooth done to prevent further decay as well as prevent pain and spreading of infection..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
