What Causes Painful Contractions During Pregnancy?

I m 33 wks pregnant with my third child and having regular painful contractions every twenty minutes it s not affecting my cervix but the pain is becoming unbearable while my dr.s do nothing but call it normal procardia doesn t work and hot water makes it worse what can I do

Hi,

At 33 weeks uterine contraction indicates that it's time for laboratory in the near future.

It's called Braxton Hicks contraction. Usually it's not painful and it goes on its own. but you should take care. And have plenty of juice and fluid for proper hydration. Don't lift weight. Avoid anxiety and stress.
