What Causes Painful Dry Cough?

Hi, I have had pleurisy for more than two weeks, but no sign of a cold or flu. A very insignificant dry cough - very rarely. Causes intense pain to cough. I ve found I ve been worse after going out in the cold air. Tomorrow I have a hospital appointment. Should I take a taxi or is a scarf over my mouth, and warm clothes, enough of a precaution?

Hello,

I think you should take a taxi. Staying in cold air can make you cough more.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
