Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have painful enlarged lymph nodes in the neck. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like strep throat , measles , ear infections , mononucleosis or cellulitis. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , physical examination and take sample for lab test along with blood test . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like amoxicillin at least for a week along with anti inflammatory and vitamin supplement to boost the immunity . Complete your antibiotics course properly otherwise the condition can relapse. Do warm saline gargles and also take warm milk with half spoon of turmeric powder which will be very helpful. For now get proper rest , apply warm compresses and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
