What Causes Painful Eye Along With Light Sensitivity?

I have been having some occasional pain and some inconsistent light sensitivity in my left eye. I am also experiencing a twitch in the lower lid of the same eye. About 3 or 4 years ago my retina spontaneously detached in this same eye and I had surgery to repair the problem. The symptoms I described have been off and on for a few days. I'm concerned, do you think I have a problem?
