What Causes Painful Headaches?

For the pass week I have been having troubles sleeping at night. The problem is basically every time I get into a deep sleep I get a super painful headache which awakens me from the sleep and I can t sleep it also lingers the headache I mean and albecaue I m so tired I take night which are also painful but only when I wake up what should I do I m a 17 year old female

Thanks for being on healthcaregic.com.If you would have presented to me as an outpatient,I would have made the following clinical explanation-
Severe headache occurring during sleep,thus waking up the individual is not a feature of common primary headache like 'Migraine' or 'Stress headache'.
It is likely due to a secondary or structural cause.Please visit a neurologist so that he examines you well for any neurological deficit.This will probably be evaluated by a computerised tomographic (CT) scan of brain to see the structural abnormalities,if any.You also need to undergo a funduscopic examination by an ophthalmologist. I hope it helps.
