What Causes Painful, Itchy, Watery Blisters All Over Hands?
Hello, one of my foster kids got recently diagnosed with Hand foot and mouth disease and I was told I had the virus too. I have been going on 3 weeks with painful and itchy water blisters all over my hands that don t seem to go away. I would like to know if maybe its something other, since I haven t been given any medication and i m under a lot of stress and discomfort. Please help.

Hi. How was hand foot and mouth disease diagnosed? Serology? Or clinical examination alone? Hand foot mouth disease is a self limiting condition and usually resolves in 3-4 weeks. It might last longer if the baby is infected with certain specific strains. Hope it answers your queries. Thanks
