Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Painful Joints With Burning Sensation While On Indapamide And Doxazosin?
I was taking furosemide for 12 years and my doctor changed me to indapamide as this was better type of blood pressure tablet used in conjunction with doxozsin and candarsartin. I am a diabetic and just started to get aching joints and both ankles inside are throbbing and burning, plus thumb joints starting to lock up. Could this be a reaction to the indapimide, before this I was fine ?Thanks Eddie
Probably these might increase the level of uric acid which leads to swollen and painful joints so switching from Furosemide to Indapamide may be the reason for your joint pain. So contact your doctor as early as possible and tell about your joint pain doctor will definitely change the drug after hearing your complaint.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
