What Causes Painful Knots Near Jawline Post Antibiotic Intake?

I had what I think was a spider bite come up on my forehead. It had swollen my forehead, nose, and eyes. Then when the large bump/bite came to a head..I popped it and large amounts of yellowish white puss came out. I started taking an t it biotic that was given to me called Bactrim and it seemed that the swelling went down. Now this morning I woke up and my jaw line up in front of my ears on both sides has painful knots. My throat glands are swollen too. What is wrong with me?

Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic.

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that you are having painful knots near jawline.
My response to your question is as follows.

These painful knots indicate swollen lymph nodes. This is because of inflammation or infection in the drainage area. This requires treatment by the use of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs.
With treatment of infection or inflammation in the drainage area these symptoms will resolve.

Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Hope this information is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for any further questions and I will be happy to answer and assist you.

Thank you
With regards
