What Causes Painful Knots On The Hip Bone?

My husband has two pea sized knots on his left and right side very close to his hip bone . We just found them. He says they hurt very bad . But there is no swelling nor any sores. He is a type one diabetic so I make sure all sores or anything he gets is very well taken care of. Do you have any idea what this may be. ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms seem to be related to reactive lymph nodes probably due to an infection.

I suggest to do a blood test and a urine test for further evaluation.

Meanwhile,I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contappct me again.

Kind regards!
