What Causes Painful Lipoma That Smells?

It appears i have a lipoma on the upper center of my back. When i rub my finger on it, my fingers smells. Is that common? If it's putting pressure on my spine, can it affect my body's extremities and other organs? I've had it for a while but only until a few months back has it started smelling and causing pain. Does it need to come out?

Hi,

I have gone through your query.
It is not a lipoma. It is most probably a cyst which got infected. Pus inside it is smelling. Because of infection it may spread deep near your spine, that will become serious. I advise you to consult a local doctor for excision of the cyst. After that antibiotics like ciprofloxacin can be started. Don't try to press or remove pus by own.
