What Causes Painful Lump At The Temple Along With Sharp Headaches?
My sister had lung cancer. Her pet scan showed no cancer last week but she had an MRI of a small bump by her temple that had been a knot and the day before MRI it decreased to the lump Cancer Dr. Could feel it. She had MRI as I said week before and radiologist of primary care and another radiologist says it is likely a hemangioma the size if a nickel or a cancer. She goes to see Neurologist Friday and having cat scan the sees him . She has been having sharp pains in that spot shooting through her head It started day after she had a chemical stress test a few weeks back. Today she told me she has a headache that spot with sharp pains in her head? Do hemangioma act like that?
As per my clinical experience, hemangiomas are usually asymptomatic or occasional throbbing pain episodically when there is raise in the point pressure over the concerned region of the brain. The sharp pain of unbearable quality indicate different issue than hemangioma, as infiltrative metastasis or others.
Kindly provide me MRI plates for my detailed reference and further guidance accordingly. Immediate relief with intake of tramadol hydrochloride after meals if no history of drug sensitivity can be obtained.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
