What Causes Painful Lump In Armpit Post Abortion?

Hi I delivered baby in 31 st week and she passed away. I took tablets to stop the production of milk in the beginning. I got a lump in my left hand armpit and is very painful and light red in color? Is it anything serious? I can feel the pain a little when I lift my arm up.

Hi,
It seems that due to collection of milk and irritation there might be having some infection in your left breast leading to enlarged, tender axillary lymph nodes.
You might require one course of antibiotic medicine for 5 days.
Remove milk if collected.
consult your Obst. and get your breasts examined.
