What Causes Painful Lump In Armpit With A Deep Hole?

Hi. I have had a lump in my armpit for about a month. Its extremely tender so i thought it was just a big deep pimple that would go away. Today i looked in the mirror and there is a hole anout a quarter soze of a pinky nail. And it is grey around it. When i look in the hole, i can see my pink flesh. But its not bleeding. It just REALLY HURTS if i try to touch it. What is it? How can i make it go away??

Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the most possible issue with painful lump in armpit and deep hole is sebaceous cyst.

* Sebaceous cyst is a benign eruption in sebaceous glands via blockage of draining duct and pausing collection of sebum inside.

* It is the secondary bacterial infection which gives pain inside.

* Kindly consult your surgeon for primary evaluation and care accordingly.

Many cases do resolve with antibiotics and some may require an incision and drainage procedure as well to cure it.
