What Causes Painful Lump In The Anal Region?

I noticed this morning that I have a small pimple that is located on the skin close to my rectal area. It is not in the rectum (around the hole); it is on the side skin beside it. It seems like it may be a bit swollen and it is a little painful, but not too, too bad.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
What problem you could be facing is presence of an infected boil around the anal region.
Kindly do the following to overcome it.
1. Clean the area with warm water and mild antiseptic like iodine or Savlon thrice daily.
2. After drying, apply Neomycin skin cream on the lesion.
3. Take a course of antibiotic containing Amoxacilin with Clavulenic acid for infection.
4. Take antiinflammatory-analgesic tablet Ibuprofen after food for pain.
Your symptoms should subside soon gradually.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
