What Causes Painful Lump In The Throat?

For the past few days i have had a lump in my throat. It started off on the right side and got more painful as the day went on. The next day, i had a lump on both sides and again the pain grew to where i stopped trying to eat and was wincing every time i swallowed. Yesterday the lump was on the left side and persisted thoughtout the day. Today it feels like it is in the middle. I dont know what is wrong. Nothing like this has ever happened before.

I have read your query and understand your concern . As far as painful lump in throat is concerned this can be due to strep throat or tonsilitis . For this I will suggest you to consult Ent surgeon for clinical examination of throat anf treatment . Inmeantime do warm saline and you can take medicine like Azithromycin with Allegra by consulting with local doctor .
