Hello, I had Coxsackie about a month ago where I had a very painful time swallowing. I suspect the sores were in my throat. It is now a month later and I feel this hard pea size painful lump still. The painful bump seems to be attatched to the cartilage on the side of my neck. It moves with the cartilage as I wiggle it, like it is attatched. It is very painful to touch. Is this going to go away or should I see a Doctor?
I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having painful lump with difficulty in swallowing. My response to your question is as follows.
These symptoms indicate inflammation of throat. This requires treatment by the use of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. Since the sire throat is present for a long time throat swab and culture and sensitivity is required to find out the causative agent and treatment accordingly.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Hope this information is helpful to you. Do write back to me for any further questions and I will be happy to answer and assist you.
Thank you With regards
