What Causes Painful Lump Near Anus While Having Hemorrhoids?

Hi, I'm 35 with extremely bad hemorrhoids from pregnancy, I've noticed a lump about 1 inch above the anal. It does not even come close to what I know is a hemorrhoid. It leaks bloody puss and the pain is unbearable. I'm scared to go to the Dr. What can this be? I've researched but I can find anything similar to what I have.. please help me!

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that painful lump near the anus that has pus and blood discharge, seems most probably be due to formation of a Perianal abscess that has started draining..

It occurs most commonly due to hairfollicle infection while other causes can be infected gland in the area or infection in the skin leading to pus formation under the skin..

I would suggest you to consult a Proctologist or Anorectal surgeon or you can even see a general surgeon and get evaluated.
He can advise you a course of antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkiller and topical application of antibiotic, steroid and numbing ointment..
If it does not improve or start worsening then Incision and Drainage can help in faster resolution..
