What Causes Painful Lump On The Areola?

I am 27 yrs old female and I have a lump on the left lower side of my areola/nipple that I have had for years now. No children nor have I ever had a kid or been pregnant. It has a white foamy discharge and is very painful for the first time for two days now....

Thanks for writing to HCM.
Painful lump in the areola with white discharge is indicative of breast abscess at the site of areola.
You need to get examined by a Surgeon, who could decide weather it has to be drained by an incision or managed with antibiotics.
For pain, you can take Diclofenac with paracetamol combination tablet twice a day after food. Also to reduce inflammation, you can take Serratiopeptidase tablet twice a day for 5 days.
You may need further evaluation by mammography, which would be decided by Surgeon.
