What Causes Painful Lump On The Shoulder?

I have a nice size lump on my shoulder close to my neck on my left side. This lump appeared in October of 2014 and has grown bigger since my daughter first noticed it. A surgeon see me and then had a CT scan of my chest and told me it wasn t a lipoma and she didn t think it was anything. It is very painful to be pushed on and now it is causing me to think I m having a heart attack. I m a 49 year old overweight white woman, who doesn t smoke or drink. I m very scared of what this could possibly be! Sorry to bother you but I can t pay. I am a freecare patient at the state hospital.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, such lesion could be cyst or formation of abscess in either case clinical examination would be the last judge, but better to keep this under observation for any changes, some time this could response to anti-inflammatory drugs and best option would be "Tab Ibuprofen 400 mg three times in day" hope this information helps, take care.
