What Causes Painful Lump Under Navel Area After Hysterectomy?
I had a total hysterectomy 18 months ago. I recently started losing weight (lost 15 pounds) and suddenly developed a small painful lump under my belly button. I think my pants were rubbing more in that area since there s less fat there. Can it be scar tissue or adhesions?
Yes, it is quite possible that the lump is due to the scar tissue or as a result of adhesions though they are most commonly not painful.
You can consider the use of anti inflammatory pain medications to help relieve the discomfort. The use of a warm compress to the area may also be helpful as well. This can be done for 10 to 15 minutes, two to three time daily
I hope this helps
