Hello,

Contraceptives may cause dysfunction uterine bleeding.

The OCP reduces the amount of prostaglandin produced by glands in the lining of the uterus, which then reduces both uterine blood flow and cramps.

So you may use tranexamic acid with mefenamic acid.

If symptoms not improved please consult your gynecologist she will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
