What Causes Painful Menstrual Periods With Blood Clots?

I am over 35 I have painful periods and serious clots I smoke pot daily.. Will my risk for clots increase ?also have large a large fibroid. Pot helps the pain but things seem to be getting worse. Will the pot put me at risk for blood clots on the nova ring?
