What Causes Painful Muscle Spasms In The Left Thigh?
I m having terrible, very painful muscle spasms in my left thigh where I can t stand on my leg. Thought it was my hip going bad since I have osteroporis. Can t get into a car comfortably because my leg is so stiff. Does it sound like a hip problem or something else?

The stiffness points towards joint arthritis problem.
You need to investigate further with an x-ray of the hip joint, ESR estimation and ANA estimation for arthritis work up.
It's advisable to investigate with electrolyte estimation and serum calcium estimation as well.
Your a neurological evaluation also needed to reach up to diagnosis.
