Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Painful Pimple In Vagina And Burning Sensation During Urination?
I had something that appeared to look like a pimple near my vagina. It hurt. Now has been two days and has gotten bigger and odd shaped. Almost like four pimples that are connected together. It it genital warts? I just got checked at my doctor a month ago for std s and everything came back negative. I have not had sex since then. Also, it really burns when I pee and hurts when I walk. Suggestions to calm the pain?
This indicates a local infection there. If you had similar lesions in the past, this can suggest a recurrent genital herpes (which can happen even without recent sex). Otherwise, it can be other forms of vulvo vaginitis. Genital warts seems less likely from your description, although for a better idea we need an inspection or a picture at least. Kindly get it examined by your doctor to confirm diagnosis and treat accordingly.
Meanwhile, you can take paracetamol (ibuprofen if no relief) 3 times a day for pain relief. Avoid unprotected sex until the issue is settled, so that your partner is protected.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
