General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Yes, they are likely related. Infections can be associated with skin changes, fever and joint pain.

Viral infections are most common. In the majority of cases of viral infections, the symptoms tend to be self limited- resolve with treatment in 1 to 2 weeks.

Because it is not clear from the above history, which viral infection you may have , it may be best to see your doctor for assessment.

This would include a history of all symptoms and examination.

In most cases, tests are not needed but it would depend on the likely virus based on your doctor's assessment.

I hope this helps
