Hi there,

The nature of the pain sounds like there is some inflammation going on, and the fact that the pain seems to be escalating suggests that the problem is progressing. I would suggest that you visit your local doctor's as soon as possible to have yourself examined and investigated.

There are many possible causes of pain in the lower abdomen, and the first I would like to rule out is an acute appendicitis. The pain is usually more to the right side of the lower abdomen, but sometimes the appendix can be out of place in some people. Another possible problem is diverticulitis, or even a urine infection.

If you are a female, the list extends even further. If you are sexually active, it could be an ectopic pregnancy, or infections like pelvic inflammatory disease.

I would like to strongly suggest that you get yourself checked out as soon as possible, as some of the problems above can be dangerous if left to progress.

Hope this helps, and all the best to you.

Regards,
Dr. Teh
