What Causes Painful Rash Around The Knee Of A Toddler?

My 3 year old daughter had a buckle fracture on her upper tibia 3 weeks ago. She wore a cast for two weeks and had it taken off on Wednesday. We went to the beach and she spent a couple hours walking in the sand. She now has a rash around her knee and says it hurts again. What could this be?

Hello,

It could be fever blister.Other conditions like HFMD (hand foot mouth disease) has to be ruled out. If symptoms persist better to consult a pediatrician and get evaluated.
