What Causes Painful Rashes All Over The Body After Total Knee Replacement Surgery?
I had a total knee replacement surgery 12 days ago. I have developed a burning rash all over my body. The doctor thought it was from Norco pain med so we switched to Tramadol. I continue having the rash. The not other prescription I am taking is Meloxican. He can I get rid of this painful rash?
Hi!! According to your history you seem to be suffering from drug rash. You should stop taking melaxicam and start with tablet prednisolone 20 mg daily in the morning and tablet levocetrizine 5mg at bed time. Along with this apply good potency steroid like clobetasol propionate cream mixed in moisturizing lotion in the ratio of 1:3 over the areas having burning sensation twice daily. This can be continued for 1 week and then you revert back to me. Hope for your speedy recovery.
