Following a bad cold, I have very painful sinuses and as of today a slight temperature, I think I have a sinus infection. I have liquid flucloxacillin in my fridge which was prescribed for my son but not needed and not opened, could I treat myself with this, if so what dosage would be appropriate? Many thanks.
Hello It seems from the history that you you are having painful sinuses after a bad cold. This is because of inflammation of sinuses as a result of extension of the infection to involve the sinuses. The treatment is by use of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs and decongestants. Liquid flucloxacillin prescribed for your son is not effective you require adult dosage which is in the from of tablets. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for prescription of the drugs.
Thank you
