What Causes Painful Skin Abrasions On Thigh?

About three days ago an itchy red rash appeared on the inside of my left thigh. the next day I noticed a rash appearing along my waist line in the front only, not physically connected to the rash on my thigh although it looked similar. The next day rashes appeared toward the backs of both my armpits. Now today the inside of my right thigh seems to be getting the same rash. I have researched as much as possible and cant find anything that makes sense. It is more itchy than painful although my left thigh where it started now has blisters that are started to become very irritated and swollen even though I have done my best not to scratch. The first day I took an antihistamine I think it was Alegra then I started using Cortizone on them. Nothing has worked.

Hi,

It may be fungal infection. Stop cortisone...which might worsen the condition. The rash may be ringworm infection caused by fungus.

Take itraconazole 200 mg cap twice a day with antihistamine.
Apply anti fungal cream like Sertaconazole cream. Avoid soap bath. Consult the dermatologist.
