What Causes Painful Skin Rashes On The Groin With Pus?

My son had developed several skin tags in his groin area. They are large and filed wroth pus and blood. We have popped several of them and they are extremely painful for him. Can you give me any information on what it is and what is causing this to form?

Hi.
As per your case history your son is having multiple furuncles (a bacterial skin infection).
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
