Hello,

From what you are describing, you've been experiencing sprained ankle. Apart lifting the ankle, you should apply alternating warm and cold compresses to make those pin point red dots disappear. Try not to stand or walk for long period. Do massage with essential oils, and apply analgesic cream. It might take a few more days after taking off the boots for the ankle to get back to normal again. Keep regular follow ups with your caring doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
