HI! My friend, 24 F, is having a swelling below her left eye, and it looks like a swollen eyebag. It is painul. Upon consulting a doctor on day 2 of the pain, it was concluded that a couple of insect stinge were in the eye. One was removed with a needle but the other one couldn t be. Moxicip Eye Drop (Moxifloxacin) - 0.5%w/v (5ml) was prescribed and was this taken as per suggestion. He said that it might come out on its own. But upon using the eye drops, the pain increases. So we stopped it. Today is day 3 (Sunday in India) so we cant go and meet our doc. What is your take on the suggestion? Thanks for your answer in advance!
if mosquito sting are there then they are tobe removed by forcepunder magnification. for easy removal procedure topical anaesthesia drop is tobe applied to anaesthetised cornea. after removal it can be washed with water and then any antibiotic drop can be applied. neosporine eye ointment can be applied at night.
