What Causes Painful Swelling In Left Leg Post Injury?

My friend was in an automobile accident 10 days ago. She suffered a fx right ankle, fx left arm and fx rt wrist requiring surgery on all three. Her left leg has been extremely swollen with pain level 10. She has been told its just soft tissue injury and body is absorbing. She is in more pain from the left leg than all other three injuries. Should she be concerned!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that there might be having soft tissue injury with large hematoma giving rise this problem.
Apply ice pack 2-3 times a days for few days.
Gradually swelling will be absorbed.
Give rest to local part.
Ok and take care.
