What Causes Painful Swelling On Leg?

I'm having very painful swelling like thing on leg...First it appears as a white spot and painful @ the sametime and after that it covers some area around it and i'm not even able to walk though its small...i have started antibiotics with the advice of my doctor...i dont know the reason for this and started taking medication from yesterday..i hope tht it subsides soon...
