What Causes Painful Tissue Growth Inside The Upper Lip?

Hello, I have noticed in the past few days that something is hanging off the inside part of my upper lip. I can only see it when i lift my lip up and it is not painful itself but I can feel pain pain when I touch the surface beneath it. It looks exactly the same as the red tissue of the inner mouth area, it seems it has been pealed off the same surface.

So sorry to hear about your problem and will try my level best to resolve it. As per your complain painful tissue growth inside the upper lip that is hanging off seems to be due to cause like fibrous tissue overgrowth known as a Fibroma while can also be due to anterio-venous malformation known as Hemangioma. I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can be done for ruling out the cause..In case if it is a fibroma then surgical excision will be done for resolution.

In case if it is a Hemangioma either non surgical treatment like application of Sclerozing agent can help in regression and if it does not regress then it also needs surgical removal. Any further questions are welcome.
