What Causes Painful Urination After Unprotected Intercourse?

I had sex with a woman a week ago unprotected and started having a stinging pain when urinating. Also a discomfort through out the day. I haven t gotten checked for a STD yet. Also there s been some sticking together at the tip of my penis starting today. The sting pain developed one day ago. Could this be a UTI? I will get checked for an STD tomorrow

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Yes, these symptoms are quite suggestive of UTI But it's necessary to screen for STDs.

It's fine that you are seeing your doctor tomorrow. Till that you can use more fluids and paracetamol. Feel free to write back.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Mahboob Ur Rahman , General & Family Physician
