What Causes Painful Urination, Penile Discharge And Irritation In Penis?
I was on antibiotics last week for a tooth infection and thought I had a uti, Which went away a few days later. This week I had severe abdominal cramping, spotting and a foul odor, so I went to the gynocoligist. They tested for uti and it came back negative eventhough I had blood in my urine. She foynd a tampon which I had forgotten about for 2+ weeks. Now I am feeling better but my husband is not. He has a clear discharge comming out of his penis, it burns when he urinates, sprays in different directions, he says it feels like there is a blockage in the shaft. The tip of his penis looks red and irritated. We had intercourse a few times (not knowing about the tampon and a day after I was feeling better from my uti (I believe) We have been faithful to one another 12+ years and the last time I was tested for stds was when I was pregnant five years ago and passed. Any ideas what could be wrong with my husband?
Hi. Your husband has features of UTI. best thing would be to get urine culture and sensitivity (from first urine in morning) done and start antibiotic based on sensitivity report. Empirically, your husband should take same antibiotics you took. Abstienence till resolution of symptoms is recommended. Hope it helps.
