What Causes Painful Urination While On Hemsyl And Myospaz For UTI Treatment?
Hi..been diagnosed with UTI two days ago after i had deep pain in my right lower abdomen.earlier i had no any other symptoms of UTI.was given injection and drugs to take, hemsyl, myospaz, floxsafe and uriflow.am on my thrd day of medication and the symptoms are now very clear..having backpain, pain while urinating, urge to urinate when there is no urine.am wondering why the symptoms are manifesting after medications,or is it side effects of the drugs?
Your symptoms strongly indicate UTI. Severe UTI requires injectable antibiotics in order to reduce the bacterial load.
Injectable antispasmodics are also helpful in reducing the pain. Adequate hydration is essential. Ureteric stones should also be ruled out.
In order to exclude any abdominal pathology, kindly consider the ultrasound abdomen. Urine culture and sensitivity can be done in order to identify the causative bacteria and appropriate antibiotic.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
