What Causes Painful Urination?

i have pain iwhen i pee, after i pee, and when i sit down. The pain isnt a burning sensation. Im not really sure how to describe it, but even if im drinking larges amounts of water, i dont pee a lot at once. I ve felt this pain for the past few days, but it wasnt until 2 days ago that i started peeing blood. I dont pee a lot of blood it was only a few drops but today there was more than yesterday. Ive been taking AZO because i thought this was a bladder infection and since i have a history with UTI s i figured that must be the problem. However, the medication should work after three days and its been 2 so im still not sure, but based on my progress i have made none. The medication seems to numb the pain. Yet even when the pain subsides a little and i dont take the medication right after the pain increases and its back to square 1. What could this be? Do i need to be examined physically?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

On a possible reason for the pain may be Infection and you are right this should have a bit better with Azithro. However, this is not always the case.

Sometimes this may be caused by other problems links stones in the kidneys or blader. Sometimes the organism may not be responsive to Azithro.

So I would suggest you should now see a doctor, get a urine R/e done and also an ultrasound of tummy so to k ow the problem and treat appropriately.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
