What Causes Painful White Centred Lumps On The Face?

I have a red, itchy facial rash. It has hard painful bumps, some have a white center. At times, the bumps will produce a a hard white extudate. Hot packing will bring some of the white centers to push out. The exudate is firm and almost appears like white whiskers. I have been prescribed Tetracycline and antiviral medications.

As per your complain red itchy facial rash with white bumps that produce hard white substance can be due to a number of causes like Allergic reaction causing Contact Dermatitis, hair follicle infection or Folliculitis, Dermatitis Herpatiformis etc..
You are given a combination of antibiotic Tetracycline that cures bacterial infection and antiviral medication..
I would suggest you to consult a Dermatologist and get a proper evaluation and investigations like Blood tests done to rule out for exact cause of the problem and treatment you accordingly..
In case of Bacterial infection antibiotics, anti inflammatory medicines and topical antibiotic ointment can be advised..
In case of Viral infection antiviral Oral and topical medication can be advised..
In case of allergic reaction anti-allergics like Levocetrizine and steroids can be advised..
