What Causes Painfully Swollen Foot?
Wife had sudden onset of pain in top of left foot earlier this afternoon. Some swelling noticed, especially on top of foot, localized. But some swelling of left ankle area (different from right foot). responded well to ice pack. Wonder if it might be a clot there. Earlier, following the onset of the pain, she had difficulty walkirong the stairs. Now not so much a problem. Planning on going to bed. What recommended.Thanks.

If injury history present than sprain is the cause and ibuprofen prescribed for that
