Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain swollen
lymph node beside the ear that has turned black and tender to touch seems to be due to infection and can be due to infection in oro-pharyngeal region [head and neck region]..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist or a
General Surgeon and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like
biopsy can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised to take a course of antibiotics like
Augmentin, anti inflammatory painkiller like
Ibuprofen and also do cool compresses over it to relieve infection and pain..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards..
