What Causes Painless Bone Growth On Back Of Head?

hi, recently i have noticed a bone at the back of my head...its a bone and i feel it when i touch it...it does not pain...it is not a lump...it is a bone...but u can feel it a lil big compared to the skull when u touch it...im just worried...should it be of concern? your input will be appreciated..thanx
