What Causes Painless Lump On The Abdomen Post Injury?

A week ago, I was hit by a heavy door latch in the side of my abdomen, just above my hip bone on the left side. The nasty bruise is gone, but there is a hard lump there, the size of a grape. It is tender, but not painful. Do I need to have a doctor check it out?

Yes, it is recommended that you have a doctor check out the lump on your abdomen. Even if it is not painful, it could be a sign of a serious injury or underlying condition. The lump could be a hematoma, which is a collection of blood that has clotted under the skin, or it could be a hernia, which occurs when part of an organ or tissue bulges through a weak spot in the abdominal wall.
