Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 25 yr old male and I noticed today a single tiny painless bump right on my perineum. It is in the center Between my anus and scotum and is barely noticed by just looking. When I stretch the skin around it the perineum flattens but the bump can be felt. It looks like it could be nothing but a minor skin irritation. when I touch it I do not remember feeling a very small bump there before. It does not look like a pimple, wart, ingrown hair, cyst, nor sore. There is no pus and it does not itch. There is no other bumps like this one on my body. I shaven the area earlier in the week and I have been sexually active but it s not located on the anus or scrotum. There was no color it when i first noticed but after picking and touching it became a little red. I am leaving it alone for now hoping it goes away eventually or at least does not get bigger nor spread.
General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. Your problem can be inflammation on that area due to irritation from tight clothing or irritation of hair bed. Applying hot fomentations (warm compress) will be helpful. You can also apply (povidone iodine) betadine ointment there. Use loose and cotton underwear. If there is increase in size or irritation then consult your GP.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
