What Causes Painless Swelling On Left Side Of Neck?
I have a small swelling on the left side of my neck extending slightly into my shoulder. It is roughly 4 cms long and is fairly hard. I have had it for about 4 months and in that time it has stayed the same or slightly decreased in size. It gives me no pain, even when pressed.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have sudden pressure feeling in left side of my neck . As per your complain swelling on side of neck can occur due to , LIPOMA , FOLLICULITIS OR SIALOLITHIASIS that is formation of crystalline stones in the duct of the submandibular salivary gland which is located under the jaw line. I would suggest you to consult oral surgeon and get evaluated and if the stones are superficial that located in the duct in the area of the floor of mouth the physician can palpate it and remove by pushing towards the duct orifice. Deeper stones has to be located by endoscopic technique known as SIALOSCOPY and surgically removed. . Doctor may also refer you to dermatologist for lipoma and other causes , who may perform liposuction .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
