What Causes Pain,small Bump And Discoloration On The Arm?

During a hospital stay, a nurse was trying to insert a new port for an IV and blew a vein in my arm. This was about 2 months ago and I'm still having a lot of pain and a small bump and discoloration at the site. What to do for the pain. The more I use my arm, the more it hurts.
