What Causes Palpitations And Dizziness?

Why do I feel like my heart is beating so fast yet my pulse is 82? My other symptoms are, shakiness feeling in my chest/torso, feel like I can t catch my breath, even though I m not breathing hard? I have this feeling often, & I hate it! It s scary! Sometimes I feel lightheaded or dizzy as well.

Thanks for your question on HCM

I do understand your pain and discomforts

As per your clinical history is concerned your problem has many causes so let us begin from anemia where you will feel weakness, shortness ob breath as well as your problem as mentioned. It's treatment is oral iron by capsules or iron injections twice a day.you can do few things at home like-:

(a)Take iron rich foods like meats, beans, lentils, iron fortified cereals, dark green leafy vegetables and dried fruits.

(b)Take folic acid which you can find from citrus fruits and juices, bananas, dark green leafy vegetables, legumes and fortified breads, cereals and pasta.

(c)Take natural vitamin b12 which you can find from meat and dairy products.


(d)Take foods contains vitamin C like citrus fruits, melons and berries which increase iron absorption.
